Adrian Breathnach

Príomhoide / Principal

Is ó Thrá Lí , Co. Chiarraí mé ó dhúchas. Bhain me mo chéim B.Oid amach i gColáiste Phádraig, BÁC i 2000. Tá thart ar cheithre bliana déag caite agam ag múineadh i scoileanna i mBÁC, san Astráil agus i gCorcaigh. Is gníomhaí Gaeilge mé, thosaigh mé I nGaelscoil Pheig Sayers i 2013. Ta suim faoi leith agam i bpeil Ghaelach, lúthchleasaíocht, ceol agus drámaíocht.

Adrian is from Tralee, Co. Kerry. He received his degree in Education from St. Patricks College Dublin in 2000. He has spent over fourteen years teaching in schools in Dublin, Australia and Cork. He is an Irish language activist, he started in Gaelscoil Pheig Sayers in 2013. He has a keen interest in Gaelic football, athletics, music and drama.

Carol Ní hAoláin is ainm dom. Is as Iarthar Chorcaí mé ó dhúchas. Bhain me mo chéim amach san Oideachas i gColáiste Mhuire Gan Smál i 2003. Ta suim agam i spóirt, an rith ach go háirithe Caroline is from West Cork originally. She received her degree in Education from Mary I in Limerick in 2003. She is interested in sport especially running.

Máiréad Uí Adhmaill

Is mise Máiréad Ui Adhmaill. Is as Béal Feirste mé ó dhúchas,táim i mo chónaí i gCorcaigh ó 2007. Bhain mé mo chéim amach i 2002 in Ollscoil na Ríona, Béal Feirste agus an iar-chéim i 2005 ó Choláiste Mhuire. Tá beirt pháiste agam agus beirt gharpháiste.Máiréad is from Belfast originally, she now resides in Cork since 2007. She received her degree from Queens University, Belfast in 2002 and her post graduate degree from St. Mary’s in 2005. She has 2 children and 2 grandchildren.

Susan Ní Mhathúna

Susan is ainm domsa. Is as Rinn an Scidigh mé. Tá an-shuim agamsa sa Ghaeilge agus in ár gcultúr náisiúnta.Táim an-sháite i gClub Peile na mBan i m’áit chónaithe.Tá suim mhór agamsa sna cluichí Cumann Lúthchleas Gael. Bhain mé céim amach sa Ghaeilge agus sa Tíreolaíocht i gColáiste na hOllscoile Corcaigh. Ansin, do lean mé ar aghaidh chun cúrsa iarchéime sa bhunmhúinteoireacht a dhéanamh le Coláiste Hibernia. Do thosaigh mé ag múineadh i nGaelscoil Pheig Sayers i 2008 agus is aoibhinn liomsa an scoil. Is aoibhinn liom spioraid na scoile,cultúr na scoile agus an t-atmaisféar atá anseo i nGaelscoil Pheig Sayers.

Susan is from Ringaskiddy originally. She has a big interest in the Irish language and in our national culture. She is active in her local ladies football club stemming from her interest in the GAA. She received a degree in Irish and Geography at UCC and then did a post graduate course in primary teaching with Hibernia. She started teaching in Gaelscoil Pheig Sayers in 2008 and loves the school spirit, culture and atmosphere in the school.

Eoin Ó Súilleabháin

Is mise Eoin O Súilleabháin. Rugadh agus tógadh i gCathair Chorcaí mé, míle nó dhó ón scoil. Bhain mé céim amach sa Ghaeilge agus Staidéar na Meáin Cumarsáide. D’fhreastail mé ar Choláiste Mhuire Gan Smál, Luimneach, áit a rinne mé m’Iarchéim sa Bhunmhúinteoireacht. Tá an-shuim agam sa spóirt, go h-áirithe GAA agus Peil Astrálach. Imrím ar son foireann Peile Astrálacha na h-Éireann.

Eoin was born and reared in Cork City, a mile or two from the school. He obtained a degree in Irish and Media Studies. He then attended Mary immaculate College, Limerick where he did a post-graduate course in Primary Teaching. His big interest is sport, especially GAA and Australian Rules football. He plays on the Irish Australian Football team.

Sorcha Ní Shúilleabháin

Is mise Sorcha Ní Shuilleabháin.Is Corcaíoch ó dhuchas mé, ó Rath Chuana. Bhain mé céim amach sa Ghaeilge agus Léann Dúchais i U.C.C agus ansin d’fhreastail mé ar Choláiste Mhuire Gan Smál chun iarchéim sa bhunmhúinteoireacht a dhéanamh. Chaith mé cúpla bliain ag múineadh i scoil iargúlta in iarthar Chorcaí. Bhí fonn i gconaí orm teacht abhaile agus an bhliain seo caite fuair mé post i scoil áitiúil. Faoi láthair táim ar ais i U.C.C ag déanamh máistreacht san oideachas. Thosaigh mé ag obair anseo i mí Dheireadh Fómhair agus táim ag baint sár taithneamh as.

Sorcha is from Rathcooney in Cork. She got a degree in Irish and Folklore in UCC before doing a postgraduate course in Primary Teaching in Mary I. She spent a few years teaching in a rural school in West Cork but always had a desire to return home and so started in Gaelscoil Pheig Sayers last year. At present she is back in UCC doing a Masters in Education.She is thoroughly enjoying her time in the school.

Clár Ní Fhollúin

Cúntóir Riachtanais Speisialta / Special Needs Assistant

As Ros Comáin ó dhúchas í Clár ach tá sí ina cónaí i gCorcaigh le beagnach fiche bliain anuas. Tá céim sa Tráchtáil s Diploma in Oideachas ó NUIG aici, chomh maith le Teastas sa Ghaeilge agus cúrsa FETAC VI i Riachtanais Speisialta déanta aici. Tá sí pósta le Pat agus tá triúr páiste acu. Chaith sí 20 bliain ag obair mar chuntasóir agus tá sí i nGaelscoil Pheig Sayers ó 2011.

Clár is from Roscommon but is living in Cork almost 20 years. She is a degree in Commerce and a diploma in Education from NUIG, as well as a Certificate in Irish and a FETAC course done on Special Needs. She is married to Pat and they have two children. She worked as an accountant for 20 years and has been with Gaelscoil Pheig Sayers since 2011.

Goretti Uí Shúilleabháin

Goretti Uí Shúilleabháin is ainm dom agus is Ciarraíoch mé. Chuaigh mé i dtreo an ghnó san ollscoil ag déanamh staidéir ar chúrsa airgeadais i gColáiste na hOllscoile Corcaigh. Lean mé ar aghaidh ar bhóthar an ghnó ina dhiaidh ag traenáil agus ag obair mar chuntasóir cairte. Le linn an tréimhse seo, bhí an bunmhúinteoireacht i gcónaí i’m chroí agam agus i 2012 rinne mé cinneadh saol na hollscoile a bhlaiseadh arís agus iarchéim sa bhunmhúinteoireacht i gColáiste Mhuire gan Smál a bhaint amach. Taitníonn léitheoireacht agus ceol liom, chomh maith le rothaíocht, siopadóireacht agus taisteal chun cultúir nua a bhlaiseadh!

Goretti is a Kerry woman now living in Cork. She has a BSc Finance degree from U.C.C. and is a qualified chartered accountant. Goretti trained and worked in accounting and finance until 2012 when she returned to do postgraduate studies in primary teaching in Mary Immaculate College. Goretti loves a good book, music, cycling, shopping and travelling!

Pádraig Mac Uaid

Is mise Pádraig Mac Uaid. Is as Crosaire Tuirnéir dom ó dhúchas, i ndeisceart na cathrach. Bhain mé céim amach i nGaeilge agus Béarla i UCC i 2007 agus chaith mé tamaill ag obair i gcoláistí samhraidh. Rinne mé iarchéim sa bhunmhúinteoireacht i gColáiste Mhuire gan Smál agus chaith mé nach mór ceithre bliana ag obair i scoil eile i dtuaisceart na cathrach sula thosaigh mé anseo i nGaelscoil Pheig Sayers.

Pádraig is from Turners Cross originally, in the south side of the city. He received his degree in Irish and English in UCC in 2007 and spent time working in Irish summer colleges. He did a post-graduate degree in primary teaching in Mary Immaculate College and spent almost four years teaching in a school in the north side of Cork City before starting in Gaelscoil Pheig Sayers.

Audrey Lettice

Rugadh agus tógadh mé i dtuaisceart cathair Chorcaí agus tá mé an-bhródúil as sin! D’fhreastal mé ar Choláiste Mhuire Gan Smál, áit ar bhain mé amach céim san oideachas agus sa Ghaeilge i 2013. Chaith me cúpla bliain ag múineadh sa chathair agus thosnaigh mé i nGaelscoil Pheig Sayers ag deireadh 2016. Tá an-suim agam sa Ghaeilge ó bhí mé óg agus tá mé lán sásta a bheith ag ceiliúradh an teanga gach lá ar scoil. Is breá liom léitheoireacht, ainmhithe agus a bheith amuigh sa nádúr ag siúl le mo mhadra.

I was born and raised in Cork city, something which I am very proud of! I attended Mary Immaculate College, where I received a degree in primary education and Gaeilge in 2013. I spent a couple of years teaching in the city and I started in Gaelscoil Pheig Sayers at the end of 2016. I have had a great interest in the Irish language since I was young and I am very happy to be celebrating our language every day at school. I love reading, animals, and being outside in the fresh air walking my dog.

Brenna Ní Chathasaig

Brenna Ní Chathasaigh is ainm dom. Is as Baile an Chollaigh mé. Tá an-shuim agam i Spóirt agus Ceol agus is breá liom an Ghaeilge. Bhain mé céim amach i Staidéar Luath-Óige ó Choláiste na hOllscoile Corcaigh. Ansin, bhain mé iar-chéim amach sa bhunmhúinteoireacht le Coláiste Hibernia i 2014. Táim ag múineadh i nGaelscoileanna ó shin. Thosaigh mé i nGaelscoil Pheig Sayers i 2018 agus is aoibhinn liom an scoil. Táim ag súil go mór le mo thodhchaí anseo i nGaelscoil Pheig Sayers.

Brenna is from Ballincollig. She enjoys Sport and Music and loves the Irish language. She received a degree in Early Childhood Studies from UCC before continuing on to the post graduate course in Primary Teaching with Hibernia. She graduated in 2014 and has been teaching in Gaelscoileanna since. Brenna started teaching in Gaelscoil Pheig Sayers in 2018 and loves the school. She looks forward to her future here in Gaelscoil Pheig Sayers.

Elaine Ní Chonchúir

Elaine is ainm dom. Is as Baile Féitheán mé. Bhain mé mo chéim amach san Oideachas Luatha Óige i gColáiste na hOllscoile, Corcaigh. Lean mé ar aghaidh chun cúrsa iarchéime sa bhunmhúinteoireacht a dhéanamh le Coláiste Hibernia. Tá an-shuim agam in ár gcultúr náisiúnta agus ceol.

Elaine is from Ballyphehane. She received a degree in Early Years and Childhood Education at UCC and then did a post graduate course in primary teaching with Hibernia. She has a big interest in our national culture and music.

Enya Ní Shíthigh

Is mise Enya Ní Shíthigh. Is as an Daingean mé, áit a bhfuil an chóngarach do mo chroí. Táim ag obair i gCorcaigh ó 2015. Is aoibhinn liom saol na cathracha. Táim fíor-shásta a bheith ag obair anseo i nGaelscoil Pheig Sayers.

Enya is from Dingle, Co. Kerry, a place dear to her heart. She is teaching in Cork since 2015. She loves the atmosphere of city life and is delighted to be working in Gaelscoil Pheig Sayers.

Lia Breathnach

Lia is ainm dom. Is as Baile an Chollaigh mé ó dhúchas ach tá mé i mo chónaí in Iarthar Chorcaí. D’fhreastal mé ar Choláiste na hOllscoile Chorcaí agus bhain mé amach céim sa Ghaeilge agus sa Tíreolaíocht i 2016. Ansin d’fhreastal mé ar Choláiste Mhuire Gan Smál áit ina fuair mé mo Mháistreacht san Oideachas i 2017. Tá an-shuim agam sna h-ealaíne. Go háirithe sa cheol agus san ealaín.

Lia is originally from Ballincollig but is living in West Cork. She studied Irish and Geography in University College Cork and graduated in 2016 and went on to do a Masters in Education in Mary Immaculate College, Limerick and graduated in 2017. She has a keen interest in the arts, particularly in music and art.
